1. Overview & Zero-Cloud Guarantee

CastWithMe Studio ("we", "our", or "app") is a professional whiteboard recording and multi-device teaching studio. We prioritize user privacy through a local-first, peer-to-peer architecture. All video rendering, digital ink processing, audio filtering, and video file exports take place entirely on your device.

2. Personal & Sensitive User Data (Camera & Audio)

In strict compliance with Google Play's User Data Policy, our access to sensitive hardware is limited to the app's core functionality with prior runtime user consent:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Accessed only when you enable the presenter camera. Used strictly to display your live video feed in the customizable circular or rectangular presenter frame and composite it onto the lecture canvas. The video feed is processed in real time and is never transmitted to external ad networks or tracking servers.
• Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Accessed only during active recording or live multi-device teaching sessions. Used strictly to record your voice explanations and apply active 48kHz noise reduction. Audio data is mixed locally into your video export and is never uploaded to remote servers.

4. Encryption in Transit & Modern Cryptography

All data transmitted between devices is secured using modern cryptographic standards:

• WebRTC Peer-to-Peer Encryption: Direct peer streams between your devices (Phone to iPad/Laptop) are encrypted end-to-end using DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security) and SRTP (Secure Real-time Transport Protocol).
• Signaling & Web Traffic: All signaling communication is transmitted over secure HTTPS / WSS protocols with TLS 1.3 encryption.

5. No Sale of User Data & No Third-Party Tracking

We strictly adhere to Google Play's commercial restrictions on user data:

• We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or trade any personal, sensitive, or usage data to third parties or data brokers.
• We do NOT embed third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking trackers, or user-profiling libraries.

6. User Accounts, Data Retention & Account Deletion

CastWithMe Studio allows educators to sign in with their email address via one-time verification code (OTP) powered securely by Supabase Authentication:

• Data Collected: Only the educator's email address is collected for account authentication, active subscription status (Free / Studio Pro), and daily room code limits.
• Local Data Deletion: Whiteboard recordings and canvas notes are stored strictly on your local device. You can purge all local sessions anytime by tapping "Clear Cache & Reset" or "Delete All Local App Data" in Settings.
• How to Delete Your Account and Stored Data:

  In full compliance with Google Play's Account Deletion Policy, you can delete your account and all associated profile data at any time through either of the following methods:

  1. In-App: Open Settings • Privacy, scroll to Delete All App Data & Reset Studio, and tap "Delete All Local App Data & Reset Studio". This wipes your session, credentials, and cached data immediately.
  2. Web / Email Request: Send an email from your registered address to castwithmestudio@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Your account, authentication credentials, and database profile will be permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

7. Children & Families Policy Compliance

CastWithMe Studio is designed as a productivity tool for educators and students. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR-K. We do not knowingly collect, request, or retain personal information from children under the age of 13.
